Alexis Crause

High School Mathematics, English and Physical Sciences Tutor

"Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater"

Albert Einstein.

Hello students and parents,

I have always had a passion for Mathematics and English writing, hence why I am studying a Bachelors in Education majoring in FET Mathematics and English.

Unfortunately, Mathematics is known to be the worst and most difficult subject for high school students. By grade 9 the majority of students are wanting to take Mathematics Literacy and by grade 10 more are wishing they did. My goal is to change this negative mindset, Mathematics is not difficult, it is challenging and a challenge is fun!

Tutoring is such a special service to me, as it allows students to improve in both mindset and academics. One-on-one attention benefits any student in any subject, we swear by it. My students are my pride and joy, I always invest so much in them.

I can't wait to meet my new students and start making a difference in their lives through education.

Courtney Bunge

High School Biology & Physical Sciences Tutor

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think!”
Albert Einstein

The sciences have always been a passion of mine, however they can often be an extremely daunting subject for children. I’d like to show kids how exciting both physical and life sciences can be!

During my time in high school I used tutors in order to aid my schooling as this allowed for the one-on-one attention that I needed as a student. As a previous tutor student, I know how tutoring can help strengthen comprehension of subjects and build confidence in those subjects too!

Each individual student has a specific way of learning that works best for them and tutoring allows for me to personalise each lesson specifically to accommodate each student.

I am so excited to meet my new students and to help guide them through the challenges they face!

Deanne Pienaar

High School Accounting Tutor

"Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do."
Jack Welch.

In order to succeed, you need to understand.

I have a passion for numbers and the challenge that comes with them. Accounting is something I grew a love for in high school, because of the way I was taught to read it, and work through information. This love has pushed me through to where I am today, studying  BAccounting, third year.

I love helping others to keep pushing themselves to be the best they can be, and encouraging them that the only way to get where you want to be is by trying, making mistakes and then learning from them.

Each student understands the work in a different way and that's why I think tutoring is so beneficial, as the work can be explained differently, according to each student's needs. Tutoring is the perfect place to ask "but why?" and to ensure that the student actually understands the work. Understanding then builds confidence, which is an important component of success.

I want to help students develop a passion for accounting. My goal is to make them love it as much as I do.

I can't wait to see them grow both in their academics and in their self-confidence.

Daniel Naude

High School English & History Tutor

"A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on cold iron"
Horace Mann.

My name is Daniel Naude, as a child, I had difficulty staying focused in class and was easily bored with how lessons were presented to me. This inspired me to become a teacher and help other students look at education differently. What fascinates us and piques our interest, can easily be retained in our memory, for years after learning more about the desired topic. Learning can be easy and even fun, when we change our perspective and learn through curiosity.

I teach English Home Language and FAL, grades 8 - 12 and History, grades 8 - 12. As of 2021, I am completing my Bachelors degree in Education Snr & FET, through the North West University.
